Affirmation of Saint Louis
In the late 1970s, the Episcopal Church in the United States of America (ECUSA)
adopted certain practices which more conservative Anglicans interpreted as an
abandonment of orthodox Christianity. The Affirmation of Saint Louis was
a response by these conservative Anglicans to ECUSA.
Baltimore Declaration
Chicago-Lambeth Quadrilateral
Adopted by the PECUSA House of Bishops as a plan for study and action for
Christian reunion.
Fourteen Theses of the Old Catholic
Union Conference at Bonn
A statement of faith formulated in 1874 by representatives of the Old
Catholic Church in Europe.
Kuala Lumpur Statement
In February 1997, eighty delegates representing the Anglican Churches of the
South gathered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for the second "Anglican
Encounter in the South" to reflect on the place of Scripture in the life
and mission of the church. Among the many concerns discussed and agreed
upon, the group unanimously endorsed the following "Statement on Human
Sexuality" as its collective conviction in this matter.

Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion
The Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion were originally promulgated by
Archbishop Thomas Cranmer in 1553,
and accepted in 1571 by the Church of England. Written originally in Latin,
these later formed the basis of the 39 Articles of Religion of the Protestant
Episcopal Church in the United States America in 1801, and the 25 Articles of
Religion produced by John Wesley for the Methodists.
